DAY 1 – There is a Lion in Zion and a Girl named Boy…
The Exit festival 2013 started on wednesday with the fantastic Le Chic Opening I wasn’t able to see and capture for you. But here is the official day one of Exitfest 13 with Snoop Dog aka Snoop Lion, Fatboy Slim, the fantastic Kate Boy which in my opinion nailed it for the evening.
Snoop Dog – the act of the evening was as expected: overcrowded. With the song: Here comes the King and a dimaond mic he started into his journey with over 40 000 dancing feet bouncing. Though I expected that the reincarnated Snoop Lion would play mainly the new reggae-ish sound, the Dog-Era hits, were those to make the mass go crazy. The loud crowd was shaking to the sound of Sensual Seduction and even Guetta and Katty Perry Kids Hits were inevitably last evening. Then there was the fantastic Kate Boy whose beat was just perfect for me. Very swedish, very synth, very fever ray, very very!!! Adore her already and the visual show they put on! Just a big WOW of the evening. The main trick is always to check out acts who run before and after the biggest names of the music industry. (thats the reason I am going to stick to the smaller stages tonight on the second evening of the festival…) Check out the photos I took in the amazing Dance Arena…

Fatboy Slim was kinda the disappointment of the evening technically speaking, cause the set didn’t convince me at all. But speaking in terms of visitors it was definitely the hottest spot of the night. The Dance Arena was full to the fullest in only 15 minutes time. There was no in or out from the bouncing crowd. Don’t ask me how I got out of there to take some pictures, cause it was too crowd that even the press was not allowed to the spots from where you can seize the act! Just insane the backdrop…
